TheatreScope
1995-2008

We appreciate your support of this unique publication devoted to new works for the stage.

Our thanks to the countless theater lovers who made TheatreScope so distinctive, especially our Critic-at-Large, the late Daniel Selznick, and our West Coast contributor, Jennie Webb; both offered invaluable support.

Our Story

In 1988, Laurie Levy established TheatreScope to feature new writing; it evolved into a weekly newsletter previewing new scripts for Hollywood. When Martha Thomas took the helm in 1996, she broadened editorial content and increased the subscriber base. Lee Caron (2000-2008) enhanced the company brand and developed online systems that increased distribution to industry professionals with an international scope. Despite a growing presence, the publication ceased during the financial crisis of 2008.
